Blog make-over

I didn't know what to do with my time today since I'll be spending the next 2 weeks getting rid of a flu (I was actually sent home from my internship because they're afraid I'll get the 4 that haven't gotten it so far, sick as well) so I decided to give the blog a make-over.............isn't it pretty?

Let's hope my sewingmachine will arrive tomorrow so I can actually start practicing and do something a bit more constructive with my time....

Mouse Elsa

My first, made-from-scratch, stuffed animal is about half-finished :) I'm so proud! I designed the pattern myself and sew it by hand since I have no idea how to work a sewingmachine, and even though the head was a tad too big at first I managed to take care of it quite nicely if I may say so myself.






It's a tad wonky, I know, but I the last time I sew something I was about 9, so I think it looks pretty damn good :)
I'm going to try and finish it over the next couple of days and maybe try my hand at the laybug and owl patterns I've made as well.

A friend asked me to make her something for her niece, and I'm not telling what it is, you guys will find out soon enough, but I figured a picture of my not-so-great doodling might be fun :)

Welcome

I've finally convinced myself that a blog dedicated to my crafts was in order :D Not sure how often I'll be able to update, but I'm going to start off updating at least once a week about my own crafts and probably once a week about other artists. We need to spread the love a bit.

So far I've mostly made jewelry pieces, which can be found at www.trutdelamode.com, but for a couple of weeks now I've been making stuffed animals to make up for my lack of inspiration jewelry-wise.

I'm hoping I'll be able to meet lots of new people using this blog and of course keep in touch with friends I've already made online and in real-life, so feel free to comment and I'll make sure to comment back :)
